. I had earlier too represented to you pointing out how only the CSA is capable of promoting English literary culture in the tri-city. You have a great opportunity to make people look further than their respective noses! What have you to lose in being firm and bold. From what I've gathered yours is an honorary post while you are a respected University Don. Must you too behave like the common babu log?

 My dear Wadehra At a time when "Art without Frontiers" and "Literature sans Boundaries" are being favoured, it is sad that the intelligentsia are acting petty and trying to protect their territory. If Punjab or Haryana is doing so, it is because they have a vast command area, unlike Chandigarh which is an island landlocked by three states. Looks as if those who control the Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi are afraid of competition.
