Embarrassed

lips draw back
teeth glint
words shoot out
hot harsh pointed
eyes flash mock and roll
hands rip the air
faces strain
score points
retort and repartee
bobble around rooms
bounce out of windows
onto lanes alleys
become posters on walls
frowns on foreheads
craned necks twist
hang out of balconies
the crescendo tumbles
down to hurt whispers
